5 February 2010Could you imagine investing the expense of a high-dollar wedding but falling short of making it mean something? Allow yours truly to brag a bit about the Orvel family’s storied wedding history. It’s possible that if you’re from Chicago you’ve heard about us and how we have a long tradition of creating fantastic Chicago weddings.
We live for the sake of weddings! Our friends include wedding planners, caterers, and photographers. My little sister is a talented wedding host and violinist (and one of the best). Over the last few days we’ve evaluated the best of talent we found on: wedding resources. No surprise that yours truly grew up around weddings. As a highly-sought after luxury wedding planner who takes her job seriously, I am at long last working for myself, planning my dream wedding with a bit of help from sister. And of course, I am madly in love. Some could speculate I’ve been lifted off my shoes by the greatest man ever.
Caroline, my luxury wedding planner partner vendor and I, are inseparable and total girlfriends. She is totally behind us, me and my soon-to-be husband Chris. Last week, we busted out the old polaroids of her infamously tacky Dallas wedding. Good times funny, but styles change. Can you find the a moral about timelessness in that.
I’m so excited for my wedding. My father is so generous to be flying everyone in, and all our friends and family will be at one of the greatest Chicago wedding reception halls! I won’t reveal to you specifics because who needs party crashers. It’s a good time to be alive, celebrating love in style with those closest to us. We can all admit that’s what a luxury wedding is most essentially about. The verve of life.
